The Column of Light & the Song of Stars

An interactive storytelling and theatre piece presented live in the rotunda at the Vancouver Art Gallery - The Column of Light and the Song of Stars told the story of a pair of twins separated at birth, and their journey back together - to discover the worlds revealed by song, inner vision, and our cultivated listening.

Under the bright blue canopy of stars.
The twinkling crescent of a moon held over head.
The young man staggered, turned, and dropped to his knees.  Exhausted.
The young woman, tugging at her now tattered skirt, took a seat. Exasperated.
They were lost.
Or more precisely: 
He was lost.
And she was lost.
And neither of them had any idea the other existed.  Separated by hundreds.
Thousands of miles. 
They had a hunch, mind you.  That there was another half to their quest also out searching.
The kind of hunch that comes from being born under the same star. 
At the same hour…
